50 Cent
According to reports, 50 Cent will serve as a judge on YouTube’s upcoming contest called “The YouTube OntheRise Rap Edition.” The contest will reportedly give aspiring rappers a chance to showcase their skills and receive a singles deal from G-Unit Records.

The contest will take place from August 10-17 and rappers will have the opportunity to submit original videos showing their talent on YouTube.com. Judges for the competition will include 50 Cent, rapper Common and music producer Polow da Don. The judges will select 20 finalist which will be voted on by the YouTube community on August 29.

The final winner will be presented on September 7th and will receive a flight to New York to record a song with G-Unit/Interscope Records, a $10,000 gift card from Guitar Center and have their video featured on the front page of YouTube.

“There are top shelf artists on YouTube that haven’t been heard,” 50 said via statement. “This contest will give them a chance to rise to the top of the game. There will be some great stuff coming out of this contest. It’s a shot to claim a spot as an MC.”
