After waiting and waiting, T.I. was finally released on a $3 million dollar bond on Friday on federal gun charges. Since being released, the rapper has a number of rules that the judge has set that he must abide by which includes that he cannot attempt to contact or speak with fans or witnesses about the case. Only T.I.’s lawyers will be able to talk or contact anyone. In addition, visitors who visit the rapper on the pre-approved list by authorities must go through a full background check and are restricted to three at a time between the hours of 7 am and 8 pm. His girlfriend R&B singer Tameka “Tiny” Cottle formerly of the music group Xscape and their kids are the only ones allowed to live in the home.
To get out on bond the rapper’s Atlanta home was put up for $1 million dollars and the other $2 million came from Atlantic Records in the form of cashier’s check. The rapper will be under 24 hour surveillance via GPS and will be supervised by Judicial Corrections Services, Inc which he has to pay out of his own pocket.
In related news, reportedly Tiny was arrested alongside T.I. on October 13, 2007 and was charged with the possession of marijuana and ecstasy. The singer is stated to be expecting her second child with Clifford “T.I.” Harris, Jr. The couple already has a son named Clifford Harris III a.k.a. “King”.
