Following the news that rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg has left Geffen/Interscope Records, home to the rapper for the past ten years, the rapper has now teamed with MTV for a global deal. The deal includes a weekly variety talk show filmed at Los Angeles nightclub Kress, “Dogg After Dark” which premieres Tuesday, February 17, at 8PM CST/9 p.m. ET. Snoop Dogg will also be releasing a new album entitled “Malice in Wonderland” with global distribution, marketing and promotion from MTV and music from Snoop Dogg’s music catalog via the video game “Rock Band.”

“Dogg After Dark” is scheduled to air each and every Tuesday night for the next seven weeks and will feature Snoop Dogg’s own in-house band the Snoopadelics (whose name pays homage to Parliament-Funkadelic).

According to MTV, Snoop Dogg’s album “Malice in Wonderland” will feature guests Dr. Dre, Pharrell Williams and Lalo Shifrin, and it’s scheduled to be released later this year.
