Kandi Burruss, formerly of Xscape
Kandi Burruss, Grammy Award winning songwriter and the youngest member of the platinum-selling 1990s R&B girl group Xscape (which also included original members LaTocha Scott, Tamika Scott, and rapper T.I.’s girlfriend Tameka “Tiny” Cottle), joins NeNe, Sheree, Kim, and Lisa on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Entertainment site EW is reporting that Burruss will replace former Real Housewives cast member DeShawn Snow, wife of Cleveland Cavaliers NBA player/announcer Eric Snow, from the show.

With over a reported 1.3 million viewers per episode, the popular Real Housewives of Atlanta is one of Bravo’s highest rated Real Housewives seasons ever, behind only season 3 of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Kandi Burruss may have gotten her boost with the Platinum-selling R&B quartet Xscape that was signed via Jermaine Dupri to Columbia Records but she is a veteran to the music business that has worked with artists like Destiny’s Child, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, TLC, Mariah Carey, Pink, and along with her Grammy Award winning songwriting, has done some co-producing also for artists such as Tiffany Evans, LeToya Luckett, Tyra and others.

The singer is now back in a new reality show (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), with a new look and is working on a new solo album expected to drop this year.
