T-Boz and Chilli of TLC
The surviving members Chilli and T-Boz, of the Grammy Award-winning female music group TLC, are preparing for a Japanese tour later on this year.

T-Boz and Chilli, of the group TLC which originally consisted of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, will be performing for the first time overseas since the death of Left Eye in 2002.

The group began rehearsing for the tour on March 23, according to a mini-blog post on Twitter by T-Boz.

“TLC starts practice 4 the Japan tour on Mon [March 23],” T-Boz posted.

T-Boz and Chilli will be performing over seventeen songs for the shows and the singer also states that she will be heading into the studio with hit music producer Brian Michael Cox and Kevin “She’kspere” Briggs aka Shakespeare which is suspected to be for her upcoming solo project.

In other news, Chilli is expected to be releasing a solo album reportedly entitled “Bi-Polar” which is expected to release in late ‘09 or early ‘10 under her own label Tron Musik, while T-Boz’s album is expected to be released sometime in ‘09.

In January, the first posthumous album by the late Left Eye entitled “Eye Legacy” was released after being originally set to release in October 28, 2008. The album features old and unreleased material in remixed form as well as guest appearance by Chamillionaire, Bone Crusher, Missy Elliott, Bobby Valentino, Chilli, T-Boz, Clyde McKnight, Wanya Morris, Lil Mama, Reigndrop Lopes, Free, Ryan Toby, and Claudette Ortiz. A percentage of the proceeds from the album sales of “Eye Legacy” goes to the Lisa Lopes Foundation and orphanage in Honduras.
