Altanta rapper Gucci Mane has officially been relieved of his contract with independent record label Big Cat Records and has signed on to Warner Brother Records. The rapper will be working towards releasing his third album with a slated release in August of ‘09.

The contract for Big Cat ended Tuesday, May 12, 2009 on the day of the release of the last album “Murder Was The Case” which included tracks that were recorded as late as 2007.

According to Gucci Mane, the album that was released via Big Cat was not endorsed by him and he is no longer working with the label or being booked nor signed by Big Cat Records.

Gucci Mane goes on to state, “The CD that Big Cat is putting out consists of records that were never planned to make my album and is a non-official release. My fans will get the official Gucci Mane album in August on Warner Bros. Records.”

The latest material Gucci Mane can be heard on is Twista’s new track “Walking on Ice” which also features OJ Da Juiceman.
