Rapper Tone Loc Collapses During Performance - Pensacola Beach
The deep voiced rapper Tone Loc born Anthony Terrell Smith, 43, most known for his hit singles “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina” as well as for being the voice for Pee Wee on the famous animation cartoon “BeBe Kids” starring and based off the late great comedian Robin Harris, collapsed early this morning.

According to Pensacola News Journal, the rapper was performing early Friday morning during a concert at Capt’n Fun Beach Club on Pensacola Beach when he suddenly collapsed. The hip hop artist Tone Loc had performed more than six songs before the humidity and heat began to get a hold of him which he reportedly kept making mentions of. Although the club was not completely filled, the temperature was reported to be in the low 80’s with humidity of around 87 percent.

The rapper is reported to be prone to seizures which was allegedly stated by Escambia County Sheriff’s who were securing the event. According to reports, in January of 2008 in Charlotte, N.C., Tone Loc suffered a seizure in which he was treated for and luckily he went back to performing after treatment.

Meanwhile, Tone Loc was taken away in an ambulance and appeared not to be fully conscious. Since treatment at a local hospital, the rapper is reported to have been released.
