Kanye West has been put on the Blacklist and banned (not really) from the George Clooney Haiti Telethon and it’s not because he’s black, it’s because they are afraid that Kanye will be himself… Details Anyone?

Ok, if you were hosting an event especially one aimed at raising money for natural disaster victims, would you invite Kanye West to that event? After taking part in a telethon in 2005 to raise money for Katrina victims, Kanye took it upon himself to say that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” causing an explosion of criticism. Most recently, as covered on www.HipHopRX.com, West also took it upon himself to interrupt the MTV Music Awards by taking the mic from Taylor Swift to say that “Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time,” which eventually landed the award winning rapper/music producer on the Most Hated Celebrity list.

Which brings us back to another point: Kanye West loves to participate in charity events!

Still, some seem to be in agreement about not inviting Kanye West to the Hope for Haiti telethon.

“[Kayne] will do anything to steal the spotlight,” a source told AOL.com, adding that after West said what he said on the Katrina telethon and the “way he behaved at the MTV Video Music Awards,” they agree it’s best he doesn’t participate in Hope For Haiti.

But others do not think it would be a bad thing if Mr. West was ‘in the building.’

Meanwhile, MTV says there is no truth to AOL’s rumors of West being banned from the event and it’s “absolutely not true” because the network actually reached out to Kanye, a rep for MTV says.
