www.HipHopRX.com has learned that after tangling with his ex label, Jive Records, Big Boi of Atlanta-based hip hop group Outkast has signed a one album deal with Def Jam to release his long awaited album ‘Sir Lucious Leftfoot: Son of Chico Dusty’.

Big Boi says the only reason he hasn’t had a release date for the album he completed almost two years ago is because of, “Jive ass Jive.” After tussling with Jive for over a year pushing for a release date, Big Boi was finally released from the label to drop the album under the Def Jam imprint.

Def Jam CEO L. A. Reid, who first signed Outkast to the label over 15 years ago reached out to Big Boi to release the ‘Sir Lucious Leftfoot: Son of Chico Dusty’ album under Def Jam.

The album Sir Lucious Leftfoot: Son of Chico Dusty is slated for release in May 2010!
