Poison star Bret Michaels reportedly re-admitted himself to the hospital this week after suffering a stroke. As reported on www.HipHopRx.com, Michaels had recently been discharged from the hospital after being treated for a brain hemorrhage. Not even two weeks later he reportedly is back in the care of doctors as they try to pinpoint his illness.

Bret Michaels re-admitted himself in the hospital after suffering from numbness on the left side of his body. Doctors quickly determined that Michaels had suffered a warning stroke. Tests show that Breat Michaels also has a hole in his heart also known as PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale). Docs are currently conducting an Ultrasound of his legs and lower abdomen to see for any signs of blood clots.

Bret’s neurosurgeon Dr. Zabramski has confirmed in a statement that Michaels in fact has a hole in his heart as well as the importance of his speedy recovery.

“There is no doubt that the positive Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) is devastating news to Bret and his family,” the statement read adding that “the good news is that it is operable and treatable.”

A representative for Michaels by the name of Janna Elias also released a statement thanking Michaels’ supporters on his behalf

“Bret wants everyone to know he cannot thank you enough for all of the well wishes, prayers, and good vibes you have sent his way,” the statement read adding that “even though these last few months have been tough on him and his family, especially this most recent setback, he is in good spirits, great medical hands and is positive and hopeful that everything is going to be OK.”

The statement also add that Michaels “is up, walking, talking, continuing his daily rehab” and “is ready to rock again.”
