So what he took a picture of himself fully dressed in he bathroom. People do it all the time and post them on facebook, twitter and send them to family and friends that doesn’t make them gay.

the concept of a 30,000 member church is insane. how can one minister touch the life of that many people. it is a business. i don’t think this is what GOD wants for his children. you must be true to yourself. why marry and destroy a wife and children. he could have started a company with 30,000 employees and announced he was gay and no one would have cared. instead he lied to self and denounced homosexuality in the church a tangled web we weave!!!! life is to short not to be happy. man up like bro. jimmy swaggert. don.t even try to lie your wqy out of this one. have some respect for your family and the members of your church that gives 10% OF NOTHING EVERY SUNDAY

One is still innocent until proven guilty. It does seem interesting that the ones who speak out the loudest against homosexuals are quite often the ones who struggle with it the most. The fact that he is a pastor does not make him immune to homosexuality. This is something you are born with or not. Some are straight, gay, bi, lesbian what difference does it make? No one asks in their infancy to be one or the other, its just a gift. It appears that he may be gifted with both. Just one word of advice, the next time you try walking down the street with Mrs. King shouting to ban the homosexuals from marriage, clean out your own closet first! Oh yea by the way, one of Kings closest friends was gay and yet he made great strides in planning and executing the civil rights movement. Go figure gays, lesbians, bi’s, transgendered, trans-sexuals are everywhere through out history. This is no new phenomenon. Its just that our puritanical views of it take our society back centuries. Wake up America! Gays have always been a part of history both in the church and in the secular world. We have contributed to civilization in countless ways through out the world. Folks of every color, nationality and sexuality have been here forever and will remain here. Get over it! Love everyone based on their character and not their sexual orientation. Obviously this man has meant a lot to about 30,000 people who love him and care immensely for him. I hope they are mature enough to continue to love him through all of this, after all this is the entire point of the gospel now isn’t it?

Pulpit Pimping! That’s what it is. Nothing complicated. The world got to this man. Oh Man of God! Even you can be forgiven. But you must STOP pimping the Word of God for your carnal needs. Com’on…Jets, Bling, Rims?…Is that required to teach and help save souls in any religion or belief? Whatever you believe, fleecing the sheep is a no-no. Being Gay is how you live and it’s your business and life. But to condemn others for the very same thing you are doing will get you exposed for who you are and what you practice; Hypocrisy! You became the Judge on the Pulpit. Personally, I believe you can deliver the Word of God still.

Truthfully nobody really knows what has happened besides God, Bishop Long and these young men. The world will spend countess number of hours trying to figure the truth. Those of us who are believers should pray that it is not true. If it is true, then we will continue to pray that God would protect Bishop Long so that he can get back to a place of righteouness. It is very easy to take the information that we think we know and make a judgement call. There is so much technology out there, we don’t know what’s true or not.

Sorry people hate to say it but fam looks suspect as hell and the photos look frutiy…. feel sorry for all of the people who’s lives and perception of what God is are wrapped into this minister. He probably will deny it and balme it on the DEVIL and some sidestepping manner instead of facing the truth. I don’t know if he is gay or not nor is that the issue. The biggest issue is there are minors involved and that’s a matter of trust that shouldn’t be taken lightly and to me; if it is true he is as worst if not more horriable as a terroist and should go to jail immediately and do not pass go…..he already looks like he did four to five fam scrooong…….

What about the young men in this situation? It is well known by certain folks in GA that Eddie Long and some of ministers on his staff are homosexual. It is no secret. He is not the only minister that is doing such and it is nothing new in the African American Church. There are a lot of gay black pastor and ministers in the church. A few years ago it was discovered our associate pastor had a live in gay lover and was sleeping with other men in the DC area. Our pastor and other ministers simply nudged him away. Its sad that african american females don’t want to see the truth in a lot of african american men. If you only knew what type of folks are actually on the DL and you would be surprised how many are married from youth football coaches , janitors to the secret service guarding the nations leaders. I say this give your husband or boyfriend a lie detector test as to if he has desires to be with another man and you would be shocked that over 70% would fail. It just like the Metropolitan Baptist Church in DC the ministers and entire male choir are sleeping with each other. Its nothing new I tell you, nothing new. It goes on in the Catholic Church and it goes on in the black church.

I have to say it is a genuine pleasure, and in fact a surprise to see intelligent, and compassionate blog comments following this story, especially after feeling profoundly depressed reading comments on a couple pop-stars; lady gaga and jay-z; this morning, specifically following articles and videos regarding their accused satanic and masonic involvement; (which was super-compelling, suspect, and chilling as well). These kind of things only reinforce my belief and desire to surrender to Christ, and the ONE True God, the only One who really makes sense, rings true, is most compassionate, (despite what many, but not all, gays say, and the demonically influenced opposers who call Christians “haters”, as well as, ironically, a lot of hateful, viscious, profane and insulting names), and most loving of all, sinners and saints. This gentleman preaches a good sermon, from what I’ve seen on television just a very few times, although i certainly do not agree with what i’m reading here about his lifestyle, and it does sort of invalidates his *authority* on scripture and morals and purity, just as I have no authority on these things, unfortunately; the principle of Christianity is that we are all sinners, some have less control than others, but we must pray for each other, and love each other. I have gay friends, but do not believe in nor agree with the gay lifestyle, I do think it is a psychological illness tragically brought upon poor souls by childhood abuse, rape, or trauma, and not even i have not been 100% innocent in my life of not at least dabbling or joking around with gay frineds, in that direction, though thankfully very, very minor degree if anything, THE FACT IS MY HEART AND SOUL KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG, and it could be a childhood trauma or abuse that planted the seed in me to ‘divert’, deviate from, or pervert right thinking. Of course, whenever i try to bring up this opinion in social conversation with ‘close’ friends, (who are women or gays), i am quickly ostacized and labeled a hater and worse, which is completely not true. What accusers and adversaries of the church don’t seem to understand is that when they falsely accuse people and the church in general, to be “haters” or “bigots” or likewise, just like liberals towards conservatives, e.g., the ‘tea-partiers’, etc., THEY are the ones who are demonstrating the ‘hate’, and the intolerance. I cannot believe the utter vitriol and anger that comes onto the faces of those whom I have had the aforementioned, casual, ‘friendly’ conversations, which i am careful to pepper/caveat with: “it’s just my opinion, and i LOVE everyone, have not an iota of hate for any gay person, etc, only compassion and love….and I could be wrong, though I don’t think so….”
On a lighter note, is anyone as amazed as I am, and impressed, at the incredible shape this guy is in?

Regarding the Mason symbol on his chain, if it’s true, to me this would require some explaining as well on the ‘bishop’s’ part. After seeing those articles and videos this morning, I’m convinced Satan/Evil is real, and as i said, the good news about this is, that GOD is real too! Gays, like straights, are everywhere and in every walk of life. God loves us all equally. I have no issues with Eddie Long being gay, if he is, what I have an issue with is his hypocrisy. Believe me, where there is smoke there is fire. Give it some time people… time will tell.

Why did they wait so long to come out, thats my question? Where was the parents or mothers of these boys? Why is there a law suits now since one of them broke in for breaking in the church? There are some question to be asked, It doesn’t make any sense how things from one being arrested to a law suit to come behind. This what kills me about OUR BLACK YOUTH the bling bling blind them and they want it fast, the parents should have seen this and denied it, but most people who love the Bling and not the education will fall down once that cord has been broken. I don’t agree with the Pastor or agree with the 4 young men, its just how you can buy the youth with things they could never buy or family can give. This is a lesson we should all take and learn from, just because someone buys you things it means they care for you. There is something behind that gift!

First and farmost, I am not being judgemental; however I am angry. It is so important that as black people we stop slapping our ministers and leaders on the hands for wrong doings. If he is a predator, he should be dealt with in the same manner as all sexual predators. If he’s a DL Brotha his ass need to be tarred and feathered. Due of black men hiding behind their masculinity and sleeping with other men–they are killing our sisters. This in itself should be brought to the light. Eddie Long is guilty I am throwing the book at him. The fact that he is aware of his status he should have been more careful about what he did and how he did that was automatic the minute his church became a multi million dollar corporation. Even if the boys are after money from the Bishop had the Bishop not expose them to a lifestyle that he knew those boys could not keep up then he caused this problem on his own self. I am having ahard time wrapping my head around the extravagant trips, putting the boys on the church payroll instead of teaching them how to fish so they can fish for themselves he fished for them keeping them relying on him.
All the memebers who do not have a personal relationship with God but idolize the Bishop will be lost he is a MAN he bleeds just like us, put his pants on one leg at a timelike us while God will never fall or falter the BISHOP WILL!!! Seek he first the kingdom of the lord this world is not your home the Bishop will Die like the rest of us humans and will have to answer for his actions to God. People please the DEVIL is real and the BISHOP is working for him.

It really hurts my heart when I hear of these occurrences in the Body of Christ (THE CHURCH)… However, through personal experience I have learned not to JUDGE any one. When there is injustice or offense and I allow God to be the JUDGE He will judge the WHOLE situation RIGHTLY! If I choose to do the judging, then, God steps back and allows it to play out in my life. Therefore, do not judge, least you be judged with the same measure that you have judged… It doesn’t matter who you are, if you engage in this spiritual principle it will work just as it is designed to work. However, if you submit yourself under God’s judgment in any given situation and allow Him to be your vindicator, He will always judge it with everyone’s best interest at heart. God is a God of LOVE. A God who does not change for any of us. He has already done everything He is ever going to do for mankind… He has done this by sending us Jesus… Jesus took our iniquities and buried our dis-eases so that each of us could have a chance to truly Love the Father as He created us to do and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Do you love yourself? How much?). Release one another from all that brings division and dissension and Love one another…It is the LOVE of God that brings man to repentance…It is the LOVE of God that is patient and kind and it is the LOVE of God that does not rejoice when another sins…It is the LOVE of God that covers a multitude of sin…If we don’t walk in the true LOVE of God then, we are clanging symbols and noisy gongs and might as well lay down and die cause there is no hope for any of us… Nevertheless, I do believe that God is GREATER than anything each and every one of us could ever go through, be it as a result of blatant sin or by unfounded accusation(s). As far as I am concerned, God is still on His throne and is still in complete control and because LOVE is His very nature He will see us, His Bride (THE CHURCH) through it ALL for His glory alone!!!

it ia amazrisioning on how people judge someone,my mom said if you saw or heaqrd then you have proof,my concern is how can men who broke in church,probably facing prison,be his lover,if they were getting all that money and luxury why would they need to break in,when they would have access to it? looks like a hoist or distraction away from their own criminal activity,? what is plan split money.and the church haters are many,until they get in trouble,etc.give mercy and if you are on plattrer it will come back,we will all answer to God for our words and judgement on what we say about a preacher.That is Gods job not ours,real cool people,honest people,healed people love and forgive.

First of all according to the book of Acts 2 in the Bible the church that accepts the Bible literally,when you give an offering or a tithe it must be used to pay for the significant needs of the congregation,such as school,housing,businesses.Any church that cant do this is fake.As for the sex scandal,no young men will accuse someone unless they have something on him,otherwise the Bishop wouldn’t have ran to lawyers,he was somewhere doing something with them,but can’t talk about it.And his wife needs to step up in the bedroom,just like catholic priests need to marry,sex is messin em up cos they arent schooled in how to use it.
