She is an advocate against domestic abuse, and having experienced it herself, has recently written a memoir in hopes that her story will resonate with women who’ve been through similar circumstances
This season, NeNe is facing some of her biggest challenges yet. Once her rock, Nene’s husband Gregg is no longer working and has gone behind her back to do some “business deals.” With her marriage on the line, Nene is pursing her independence more than ever. She lands a position as an entertainment reporter for the local news channel’s morning show, seeking to transform herself into a career woman, while still keeping an eye on her sons. Though her no-nonsense, tell it like it is approach sometimes gets her in trouble, she continues to explore her ever-evolving friendships with the other housewives, even rekindling her relationship with Kim.
