The Dexter television drama stars, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall, who are brother Dexter Morgan and sister Debra on the Showtime TV series Dexter, but husband and wife in real life, have called it quits.

The Dexter siblings, real life couple Jennifer Carpenter, 31, and Michael C. Hall, 39, filed for divorce and this was confirmed by reps in a statement to media. Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall were dating since 2007 and had been married for two years since 2008.

Michael C. Hall, who recently overcame Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a cancer originating from white blood cells called lymphocytes) and Jennifer Carpenter actually eloped on New Year’s Eve in 2008 after beginning their romance in 2007.

Reportedly the couple, who had been separated for some time, are ending their marriage on good terms and plan to remain good friends after their divorce.
