Dame Dash Sues His Lawyer For Not Completing Paperwork Over A Record Deal With Curren$y
Dame Dash has filed a law suit against his lawyer. His lawyer has failed to complete the right paperwork for a record deal with Curren$y.
Despite Dame Dash and Curren$y making amends, their history at DD172 is still appearing in the legal world. In a recent report, Dame Dash is suing his lawyer for not completing his paperwork, which resulted in Spitta and other artists to leave his label.
He’s suing his lawyer, Janis Shen, for failing to complete the proper paperwork for a record contract with Curren$y. The deal that was going to be stated on contract was that Curren$y release three albums under Dame Dash’s BluRoc imprint, two Pilot Talk LPs and Muscle Car Chronicles. His lawyer never wrote the contract, which the New Orleans rapper ended up in his current record home, Warner Music Group with his albums on tow.
According to some insiders, the failed contract also made Dame Dash loose a distribution deal between BluRoc and Island/Def Jam, as well as rapper Stalley. Stalley later had signed with Maybach Music Group.
The New Orleans rapper is now seeking $5 million in this suit. He’s also seeking the lawyer fees as well.
