Foxy Brown booted off live radio show
Recently female rapper Foxy Brown was booted from the Power 105.1 morning radio show for trying to dictate the interview and dodging questions on rumors that she was removed from Def Jam’s roster.
When Egypt & Ashy of Power 105.1 asked her if she had been dropped, Foxy Brown denied everything before saying she left the label herself.
“See, what people don’t know is that I initiated leaving Def Jam. They didn’t drop me, they could never drop me. I am a multi-platinum artist,” according to reports.
When Foxy Brown was questioned about the nail salon incident where she was alledgedly accused of assaulting a manicurist Foxy Brown stated, “I am not getting into what took place in the nail salon because it was an unfortunate incident that I learned from.”
Power 105.1 Egypt confronted Foxy Brown by stating to her, “But you contacted me to talk about these things. This is your opportunity, your platform to set the record straight. You have to admit that people say you are hard to work with and have a bad attitude.”
Foxy told the DJ’s the she was not answering them and that they were disrespectful. “I told you when I called you what type of questions I wanted for my interview,” stated Foxy.
“Foxy, you leave the room, this interview is over,” stated one of the DJ’s.
The DJ’s had enough of her behavior and how she wanted to control the interview. With that kind of Diva behavior she’ll be getting booted from more than just radio.
New York judge threatens to jail rapper Foxy Brown
According to sources a New York judge warned a lawyer for Foxy Brown on Monday that the rapper would be arrested and thrown in jail if she missed her sentencing on assault charges.
Inga Marchand “Foxy Brown” had been scheduled to appear Monday morning in Criminal Court in Manhattan, however when her case was called, defense attorney Frank Rothman said his client was home recovering from a dental procedure — an excuse that angered Judge Melissa C. Jackson.
“I don’t take this kindly,” the judge said. “I don’t believe she is incapable of being here.”
The judge on Monday rejected a motion by Foxy Brown to withdraw her guilty plea and said the sentencing would be held on Tuesday. She warned that if the rapper failed to show up, she would void a plea deal sparing her jail time and sentence her to a year behind bars.
Frank Rothman has assured the judge that this time his client would be there. “She’s showing no disrespect,” he said.
Foxy Brown pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor assault charges stemming from a fight with nail salon workers over a manicure.
The prosecutors said 26-year-old Foxy Brown, kicked one employee and smacked a second in the face on Aug. 29, 2004, in an argument over payment for a manicure at Bloomie Nails.
The rapper had claimed she made her plea-deal decision under duress. “I find her plea was entered voluntarily,” the judge said.
The deal would require Brown to serve three years probation and take anger management classes.
Salon fight gives rapper Foxy Brown 3 years probation
Rapper Foxy Brown “Inga Marchand” was sentenced Tuesday to three years probation for a fight with two Manhattan nail salon employees, finally ending an assault case that dragged on for more than two years.
Sources state that Foxy Brown tried to withdraw her guilty plea but a Manhattan judge said the agreement was legitimate and imposed the sentence.
“I’m innocent,” Brown argued before the judge, claiming that she felt rushed at the time that she made the plea agreement. She also asserted that her previous lawyer had told her that she would face jail unless she agreed to the deal.
Judge Melissa C. Jackson, after listening to the last pleas from the rapper and her attorney, rejected the appeal for a two-week extension and new arguments, instead handing down the sentence worked out in earlier negotiations.
“The purpose of a reargument is not to let the parties go over issues that have already been decided,” Judge Melissa C. Jackson said. The judge warned Brown that if she did not abide by the conditions of her probation, the rapper faced a possible sentence of one year in jail.
Foxy Brown arrived at court with her bodyguard and her attorney in a black SUV. Foxy Brown wore black high heels with small white polka dots, sunglasses and skin-tight black pants.
Throughout the trial it has been stated that Foxy Brown hired three different attorneys and has tried once before to change her guilty plea and was threatened with jail time for missing a court appearance on Monday. An angry Judge Melissa C. Jackson promised to throw Brown in jail for a year if she did not show up for the sentencing this past Tuesday.

Foxy Brown Must Pay Up, But With What?
Twenty-seven year old rapper Foxy Brown (Inga Marchand) lost her case to fashion designer Tanya Manderson and now the fashion designer doesn’t know exactly how to retrieve the money because of the rapper having financial problems.
It currently looks like the only choice the rapper has is to immediately begin a cash flow before she’ll end up with more legal problems such as bankruptcy. As far as an album goes it doesn’t look like she will be doing anything immediately due to the fact that Angie Martinez says that there was something funny going on with her voice ever since she went deaf. Angie believes that Foxy doesn’t realize it, but we’re for certain she probably does or has been told by family and friends. We’re just glad to know that 99% of her hearing has been restored.
However, inaddition to the judgement, the designer is expecting at least $1 million from the rapper. There have been statements made that claims to an insurance company had been issued in an attempt to recover the cash, but apparently it hasn’t been approved as of yet.
