DMX “Earl Simmons” doesn’t know how to stay out of the way of trouble. Recently he’s facing another court appearance after being pulled over in New York on Monday. DMX ended up getting his vehicle impounded on suspicion and due to other driving restrictions. At the time he was pulled over he was driving his 2001 Chevrolet Suburban in Yonkers.

The police ran a computer check, and found DMX was not licensed to drive in the state of New York and his car registration was suspended which ended him with three summons according to reports.

DMX was charged with driving with a suspended registration, which is noted as a misdemeanor, and driving an unlicensed and uninspected vehicle, which are driving infractions.

Big League Entertainment president Mike Green has threatened to sue Atlanta rapper TI and his manager for breach of contract over a performance scheduled for September 30, 2006 in New York City.

Mike Green alleges that TI “Clifford Harris, Jr” violated an agreement with the promotions company when he performed at New York’s Radio City Music Hall for Boost Mobile Rock Corps volunteers. TI was scheduled to headline Hot 97′s concert which was co-sponsored by Back to School Jam, which ended with rapper DMX’s short fused set and an injury of fan instead.

Mike Green stated, “People think TI didn’t show up that night, but I didn’t allow him to make it. “He did a show in the area just a week before and breached what he had with us, because he wasn’t supposed to perform in the area for 30 days before our show. “So I didn’t allow him to perform. I’m going to sue the hell out of him.”

Houston rapper “South Park Mexican” Carlos Coy, Tuesday released a new album while he sits in a jail cell for molesting a young girl.

Carlos Coy was convicted in 2002 of child molestation and was sentenced to 45 years behind bars. It is stated that his new CD appears to have songs that were composed while behind bars, but it is unsure. Many believe that Coy is using his prison sentence to cash in.

Fans of South Park Mexican has already begun purchasing his new CD because they feel that he is not guilty and will continue to support his music. While fans are out buying his CD, others are disgusted that a person convicted of a crime can make money from their cell.

The album will be South Park Mexican’s first release since being convicted of molesting a 9-year-old girl in 2002. The CD is entitled “When Devils Strike” and it contains 15 new tracks.

While it’s not clear whether the album was recorded before his conviction, his label “Dope House Records” declined to make a comment.

Coy’s trial lawyer Chip Lewis states, “In Mr. Coy’s situation he’s not profiting clearly, his family maybe and his children that he dutifully supports.”

The album is currently being sold in Best Buy.

So Solid Crew member Megaman has been cleared of murder charges.

The UK rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Vincent, appeared at the Old Bailey on September 28th to face charges of “encouraging and supporting” a friend during the murder of Colin Scarlett.

Megaman stated to media, “I have finally been released from a system which has been designed to keep people behind bars whether they are innocent or guilty.”

“I was an innocent man from the beginning nothing has changed and nothing ever will change.”

Scarlett was killed in November 2004 after being shot four times outside his home. Last year, Megaman’s friend and fellow So Solid Crew member Colin Morgan was convicted of the murder and is now serving a life sentence.

You’re listening to your favorite country station, and all of a sudden you begin to hear urban rap music, what do you do?

Hopefully 34 year-old Darin Satter has learned his lesson on interfering with a licensed station.

For a few weeks, listerners of WKIS-FM (Kiss Country) in Florida heard rap music on their radios instead of the regular programming. According to detectives, he was running a pirate radio station that was interfering with the legitimate radio station’s signal.

Fortunately the engineers of WKIS tracked down the signel to a trailer park by the name of Okomo, find the location and then they contacted the BSO. Once contacted the detectives went out to the trailer park and found that Darin Satter had a large broadcasting antenna outside his trailer which was approximately 30-feet tall.

Darin Satter was arrested and charged with unauthorized transmission/interference with a public radio station. If found guilty, Darin Satter could face prison with a maximum sentence of five years and a fine of $5,000.

Mario Etheridge 28, who authorities say killed rapper Proof of D-12 and a close friend of Eminem’s was convicted on Wednesday of two weapons charges related to the incident. The charges where for carrying a concealed weapon and the second one for discharging a firearm inside a building. The concealed weapon charge is punishable by up to five years in prison, with the second charge maximum penalty is four years in prison.

From reports, authorities say Mario Etheridge shot and killed Proof (Deshaun Holton), after Proof shot Etheridge’s cousin, Keith Bender. Mario Etheridge’s lawyer said that Proof was set off over a dispute during a game of pool at the CCC, which is an after-hours night club in Detroit off of Eight Mile Road.

The sentence is scheduled for Oct. 17 before Wayne County Circuit Judge Vera Massey Jones.

Twenty-seven year old rapper Foxy Brown (Inga Marchand) lost her case to fashion designer Tanya Manderson and now the fashion designer doesn’t know exactly how to retrieve the money because of the rapper having financial problems.

It currently looks like the only choice the rapper has is to immediately begin a cash flow before she’ll end up with more legal problems such as bankruptcy. As far as an album goes it doesn’t look like she will be doing anything immediately due to the fact that Angie Martinez says that there was something funny going on with her voice ever since she went deaf. Angie believes that Foxy doesn’t realize it, but we’re for certain she probably does or has been told by family and friends. We’re just glad to know that 99% of her hearing has been restored.

However, inaddition to the judgement, the designer is expecting at least $1 million from the rapper. There have been statements made that claims to an insurance company had been issued in an attempt to recover the cash, but apparently it hasn’t been approved as of yet.

Ashanti is known as the princess of hip-hop by many and by others the chick everyone was jealous of. Either way you put, she’s having a little trouble just like many of the people in the music industry, but hers is a contract dispute with her former producer Genard Parker.

Since the two didn’t want to carry the dispute on too long, they opted for an out-of-court settlement which began on Monday which many of the details where not disclosed.

“I’m very pleased with the outcome”, stated 25-year-old Ashanti.

Because Parker was trying to be a little greedy from what we know, aiming at getting $2.3 million (1.2m) for helping her career. Ashanti attorneys being so keen and smart said he was only owed $50,000 ($26,500)

Her attorneys said the decision by both sides to drop all litigation was “an excellent result”.

Parker, who initially helped Ashanti record a couple of demo tapes at the launch of her music career, stated outside the New York court he was “happy it’s over”.

In a previous trial sometime last year in New York, Ashanti was ordered to pay Mr Parker $630,000 ($335,000). The ruling didn’t go as Parker planned due to the fact the judge later rejected most of the award, ruling the jurors did not have sufficient facts to determine the proper amount of damages.

A Rock band that went by the name The Knack is making a claim 27 years later for a lawsuit involving the rap group Run DMC. The Knack claims that Run DMC used an unlicensed sample of the rock group’s 1979 hit “My Sharona” in the Run DMC song, “It’s Tricky” which was released sometime in 1986.

Whether or not if the lawsuit will be acknowledged is unknown, but 27 years later is quite a long to come and make claims to a song which made it top on the charts.

The suit was filed in Los Angeles last week. The suit name the members of the rap group, the suit names their management, producers, publishers and record label, and seeks damages and attorneys’ fees. The suit claims the co-writers of the song only recently found out that the song used the riff.
