Model and entrepreneur Kimora Lee Simmons will be in the latest issue of OK! Magazine. In the magazine Kimora talks about parenting, family and her relationship with music mogul Russell Simmons, 49, who has been nick named by several as “Blood Diamond Russ”.

Their relationship and moving on: “We’re great partners, and we have a beautiful family. We’ve been through so much together. It’s almost been 15 years. I can’t say it’s always been great, but I focus on my kids and my life and my businesses. I’m growing up. I feel like it’s time to take control of my life. I have to take the reigns myself and try my best to be happy.”

About Russell and the kids: “I’m a very hands-on mother. But he’s a very nurturing dad. He probably doesn’t spend as much time with them as I do because I’m with them day-in and day-out, work or play. [We talk about them] every day. All day. I would call for anything. We’re very connected to our children.”

A gay rapper by the name of Caushun is pointing fingers at music mogul Russell Simmons and is calling him gay after his manager exposed him as fraud and having no talent. Russell Simmons addressed the allegations with Dallas Voice about him living a gay lifestyle. The rapper claimed that he got hold of Russell Simmons Blackberry which held messages to a secret gay relationship.

At a Hip-Hop Summit at Morris Brown College in Atlanta with a crowd of over 1,500 attendees this past Saturday, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons spoke on financial planning and credit stability.

Quoted in reports as The Godfather of Hip-Hop Russell Simmons says it should be a priority for youngsters to focus on financial empowerment instead of wasting their money on things such as bling and other material items.

`Financial empowerment isn’t something that’s taught,” Simmons said.

“It`s not common knowledge; even if you go to school, you don`t learn it in school.”

Using hip-hop and R&B stars the industry veteran plans to influence teenagers and young people to be more money conscience.

At the Morris Brown College other financial advisors and hip-hop attendants where Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, Paul Wall, and others.
