The 3rd Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival which is a free outdoor event and spans over 5 days in the month of June, recently held its final day on June 23, 2007 headlined by Wu-Tang MC “Ghostface” at the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. The event produced by Brooklyn Bodega, The Room Service Group and Seven Heads Entertainment is aimed at celebrating Hip-Hop culture and music. Some of the artists which were part of the lineup included Ghostface, Fat Joe, Heltah Skeltah, Sean Price, Skillz, Smif N Wessun, and others. Check out some of the photos.

Mexican rapper from Southern California named Down aka Kilo brings the track, “Lean Like A Cholo” (Inclinación como un cholo) which also a dance associated with. “Lean Like A Cholo” made it to No. 38 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart and comes from off his album Definition of an Ese which released on May 22.

While Carmine Gotti Agnello, Jr celebrated his 21st birthday at the China Club, he announced to guests that he will be releasing a rap album which is untitled. The “Growing Up Gotti” star says he is working with Ruff Ryders on his upcoming rap album and will be called “C. Gotti”. Those currently working with him on the album are DMX, Jadakiss and Cassidy.

Seems like 50 Cent is moving up in the world and this time thanks to royalty. The rappers picture was taken smiling and holding hands with The Duchess, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson on Wednesday at a NY concert for the Sarah Ferguson Foundation. The function was a part of the Ciprinani Wall Street concert series which helps the foundation provide assistance to disadvantaged children.
