Rapper Nicki Minaj wants you to check out her new music video ‘Check It Out’ with music producer and artist Will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas) which was released on his website DipDive.
The song “Check It Out” samples the chart topping classic “Video Killed The Radio Star” which released in 1979 by British duo group The Buggles. “Video Killed The Radio Star” was also the first music video shown on MTV in 1981.
As for the music video “Check It Out,” which was directed by Rich Lee, it is a twist of Japanese anime featuring will.i.am and Nicki Minaj doing almost robotic-styled moves throughout the video. Will.i.am pulls off a few little foot moves in the video as Nicki Minaj brings out her Barbie side.
“Check It Out” is off Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday album, scheduled to release in stores November 22nd.
In other news, Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment protégé Nicki Minaj states she will be going on tour at the end of the year in support of her debut album Pink Friday and can’t wait to see the people who have been supporting her and that she has neglected due to working on her album.
